About: Bennett College is a small, private, historically Black liberal arts college for women. The College offers women an education conducive to excellence in scholarly pursuits; preparation for leadership roles in the workplace, society, and the world; and life-long learning in a technologically advanced, complex global society. Admission Info: Applicants must submit the following documents: 1. Official High School Transcript. Required high school courses: 16 units: English (4), Math(3), Foreign Language (2), Natural Science (3), Social Science (2) and Electives (5) 2. Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Testing Program (ACT) Scores (optional, but required for scholarship consideration 3. Personal Essay (one page autobiography, to include a statement of why you chose Bennett.) 4. Two (2) letters of recommendation (with at least one from an academic standpoint.)
Scholarship/Financial Aid: The goal of our office is to assist students by way of financial aid awards who have difficulty paying the costs incurred while attending college. The aid provided by Bennett College is intended to supplement, not replace family resources. The primary source of funding rests with both Federal and State government; therefore, government regulations determine a student's eligibility and awards.
