Baylor University

About: Chartered in 1845 by the Republic of Texas, Baylor is the oldest, continually operating university in the state.  At Baylor we believe college should mean something more than sitting in a lecture hall and taking notes.  Here, it’s about discovering yourself and the world around you in an academically challenging environment where world class faculty care about your success in and out of the classroom.  As a community of faith, Baylor believes in building character while you build your future.  With a diverse student body, a campus filled with activities, and organizations in which to become involved, Baylor will help you find out who you are and what matters most in your life.  And from here, you can go above and beyond.

Admission Info: To apply, simply fill out our free Baylor web application at baylor.edu/admissions.  A complete admissions file includes our online application, official SAT/ACT scores with the essay portion completed and an official high school transcript showing grades received through the end of the junior year with a documented class rank.  Completed applications received by November 1 will be reviewed for the first round of admission notifications.  The advantages of first-round acceptance to the University include priority in securing your space in the incoming class through early deposit, which also serves as your housing application and locks in your priority date for housing assignments.  Any admission applications received after February 1 will be considered only on a space-available basis.

Scholarship/Financial Aid: When comparing Baylor to other schools, it becomes clear that our value and affordability set us apart. In fact, Baylor's tuition is one of the lowest of any major private university in the Southwest, and is one of the most affordable institutions in the nation.  There are plenty of ways to help finance your education and we want to help in that process. Our financial aid website and counselors are great resources for you to take advantage of.  Please visit us at baylor.edu/admissions/finaid.
